Selma was herding them toward the riding arena, pushing and teasing until they stumbled along, laughing. She had a plan, of course, though she kept it close, like a secret in her pocket. When her friends rushed through the arena doors, something strange happened — three of them tumbled forward and two... didn’t. Selma barely paused, clapping her hands and announcing a “new game” as if this was exactly how things were meant to go. The two near her shifted uneasily, glancing around, while the others on the far side started to murmur. This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen — Selma needed them all together — but now she had no choice but to play along. Selma tightened her grin and tried to look like someone who definitely wasn’t planning to eat anyone..
